UCI Cycling

The UCI is also based in this area of Switzerland, in Aigle to be exact. Besides the UCI office, there are also training facilities for athletes. Inside there is a velodrome for track riding and outside the UCI building they've build a supercross BMX track. It is almost similar to the one that will be build in Beijing for the 2008 olympics. I went to the UCI for some training in the gym today. The whole national volleyball team from China was training there and also some velodrome sprinters were working out in the gym. It was interesting to see how they were training. The UCI building has also a little museum about cycling.. some interesting thing about the history of cycling are displayed in this museum. Tomorrow I hope to go riding on the BMX track at the UCI centre... It has a 8 meter high start ramp!!!! Should be fun..
