Lisboa Downtown race

I really enjoy going to the Lisbon Downtown race every year. This will be the 5th year that I am competing here... I probably know Lisbon better then my own capital city of Holland...Amsterdam!! The organization always takes super good care of the riders, they pick you up at the airport and put you in the nices hotels! The track was pretty challenging this year. You get 4 practice runs in the morning and you just have to go for it in those runs. I was not having a good feeling on the course yesterday... I just could not get it together on the course and made the decision not to race.

The Honda F1 rider Rubens Barrichello was also in Lisbon to check out the Race and see the Honda mountainbike team perform. Greg Minnaar crashed on the first stairs out of the start. Steve Peat took the win again...yep again!! 2nd Nathan Rennie, 3rd Filip Polc. Women's race was won by World Champ Sabrina Jonnier, 2nd Hellen Gaskall, 3rd Tracey Hannah.
