Race day 1

Today was the first round of the European indoor bmx series. The track is not that easy, it's difficult to keep your speed going, and clear some of the jumps. In practice I was struggling a bit with some jumps. I had a crash on one of the jumps and landed right on my knee...aouch I have a nice big lump on there now.

The moto's were going O.K., the last moto was my best one, I got second behind Shanade Reed (last year's junior world champ).
I made it to the finals, witch made me feel good.
My gate was good in the final, I was on the outside going into the first turn....I went in, in 3rd position but when I got out I was in 5th....oops. I tried to make a move back in the second turn but that was not so successful, I crashed fighting for 4th position with the other girl.

Shanade Reed won the Elite Women race, that girl rides so faaaast. In the men's elite race it was the Italian Manuel Devechi taking 1st place followed by Martijn Scherpen in 2nd and Rob v/d Wildenberg in 3rd.

I am not sure if I will race tomorrow, it all depends on how my knee is doing. Talk to ya tomorrow...
