My whole life I’ve been riding bikes. I started riding BMX when I was 4 years old. Now I am 30 years old and I am still riding my bike. My family supported me from the beginning on. After winning the National BMX championships 6 times and being World Champion twice, I was looking for a new challenge.

When I rode a mountainbike downhill for the first time in my life, I just loved it. From then on I knew what I wanted to do. Back then I got the opportunity to race for a professional Dutch mountainbike team and I learnt a lot about professional sports and how to get down a mountain fast.

A little girl’s dream came true when I became a professional bike rider. For the last years I've been riding for several professional mountainbike-teams. Upcoming season I will continue to race around the world with the help of the Specialized Factory Racing Team.  Next to the important 4X races, I will be riding all major Enduro-events this season.
